Our Story
Hide & Seek Kids began in 2014 when our founder, Annette, was looking for something to keep busy—a hobby that would let her create something meaningful. Her daughter Nikki came to her with an idea: "Mum, what about cubby houses?"
What started in a small Brisbane warehouse as a mother-daughter project has grown into something neither of them imagined: an Australian family business creating premium cubby houses for families from Brisbane to Beverly Hills. In 2016, Annette's son Nathan made a life-changing decision. He left the Australian Defence Force and moved his family back to Brisbane to help grow Hide & Seek Kids. Together—Annette, Nikki, and Nathan—they built something they're incredibly proud of: a business focused on creating magical play spaces where imagination thrives and childhood memories are made.
Today, Hide & Seek Kids is run by three family members, each bringing unique expertise. We've had the privilege of creating custom playhouses for some of the world's most discerning families, including Paris Hilton (twice), Jessica Alba, Kathy Hilton, and Kyle Richards. We've been featured on Australia's TODAY Show and Jessica Alba's Roku series "Honest Renovations."But what we're most proud of isn't the celebrity clients—it's the thousands of Australian families who trust us to create special spaces for their children to play, imagine, and grow.

We're proudly Brisbane-based and have been since day one. Our operations, design work, and customer service all happen right here in Queensland. When you contact Hide & Seek Kids, you're talking to our family team in Brisbane—not a call center overseas.
While we ship Australia-wide and have worked on international projects, Brisbane is our home and always will be.
