Painting is Essential

This fort set arrives with a natural water-based timber stain. For long-term durability, weather resistance, and to maintain your warranty, you must paint the timber structure with high-quality primer and paint.

Recommended Painting Process:

• Paint before assembly for best results and complete coverage
• Apply minimum 2 coats of quality primer, sealer and undercoat
• Apply minimum 2 coats of exterior-grade paint
• Use a brush rather than spray for better coverage
• Ensure complete coverage of all surfaces including edges and corners

Plastic Components Note

Plastic accessories including slides, swings, handles, and climbing rocks do not require painting. These components come ready to use in your chosen colours. Hardware components such as rope caps are supplied in yellow and cannot be changed.

Placement Requirements

• Level Ground: Position on level ground to prevent unwanted movement or instability. Uneven ground can cause timber movement, resulting in gaps and warping
• Good Drainage: Place in an area with good drainage to prevent moisture buildup, rot and mould. Avoid low-lying areas prone to flooding
• Stable Base: Use timber sleepers or concrete slab as a stable foundation. Support must be used under all structural joins and walls
• Space Requirements: Ensure adequate clearance space around the entire structure for all play features (rope climbing wall, slides, swings). Minimum 5m x 5m recommended for safe play
• Weather Protection: This play equipment is not cyclone-rated. Secure loose items and bring smaller removable pieces indoors before severe weather
• Natural Shade: Consider placement that offers natural shade or protection from harsh afternoon sun
