Painting is Required for Durability

This swing set arrives with a natural timber stain that provides only minimal protection. For long-term durability, weather resistance, and to maintain your warranty, you must paint the timber structure with high-quality primer and paint. Failure to follow painting instructions may impact your product warranty.

Recommended Painting Process:

• Paint before assembly for best results and complete coverage
• Apply minimum 2 coats of quality primer, sealer and undercoat
• Apply minimum 2 coats of exterior-grade paint
• Use a brush rather than spray for better coverage
• Ensure complete coverage of all surfaces including edges and corners

Plastic Components Note

Plastic accessories including climbing wall pieces, handles, and slide do not require painting. These components come ready to use with your structure. Paint all timber elements thoroughly to ensure weather protection and durability.

Adult Supervision Required at All Times

The Milo Swing Set features multiple active play elements with movement and elevation. Children should always be supervised when playing. Regular maintenance checks are recommended to ensure all components, hardware, ropes, and structures remain secure and in good condition.

Placement Requirements

• Level Ground: Position on level ground to prevent unwanted movement or instability. Uneven ground can cause timber movement, resulting in gaps and warping
• Good Drainage: Place in an area with good drainage to prevent moisture buildup, rot and mould. Avoid low-lying areas prone to flooding
• Stable Base: Use timber sleepers or concrete slab as a stable foundation. Support must be used under all structural joins and walls
• Space Requirements: Ensure adequate clearance space around the entire structure for all play features (swings, climbing wall, slide). Minimum 4m x 4m recommended for safe play
• Weather Protection: This play equipment is not cyclone-rated. Secure loose items and bring smaller removable pieces indoors before severe weather
• Natural Shade: Consider placement that offers natural shade or protection from harsh afternoon sun

Active Play Space

The Milo Swing Set combines swinging, climbing, and sliding activities. Position the structure where children have ample room to swing safely, climb securely, and slide without obstruction. Ensure the structure is positioned away from obstacles, low-hanging branches, or hazards that could interfere with active play.

Natural Timber Characteristics

Timber is a natural product and may develop minor cracks and gaps over time. This is normal thermal expansion and contraction due to moisture content changes. These gaps and cracks are completely normal and do not affect the strength, durability, or structural integrity of the swing set. Cracks typically close back up once moisture returns.

Assembly Overview

The Milo Swing Set comes partially assembled in three cartons (74kg total). The structure includes all major components and requires final assembly before use. Assembly requires two people and basic to moderate DIY skills.
