• Apply minimum 2 coats of exterior-grade paint
• Use a brush rather than spray for better coverage

The Lucas Swing Set is the lightest and simplest structure to paint. With only flat-packed timber pieces (33kg total), painting before assembly is quick and straightforward. The simple design means complete coverage is fast and efficient.

Adult Supervision Recommended

Children should be supervised when using the swing set. Regular maintenance checks are recommended to ensure all components, hardware, and swing hangers remain secure and in good condition.

Placement Requirements

• Level Ground: Position on level ground to prevent unwanted movement or instability. Uneven ground can cause timber movement, resulting in gaps and warping
• Good Drainage: Place in an area with good drainage to prevent moisture buildup, rot and mould. Avoid low-lying areas prone to flooding
• Stable Base: Use timber sleepers or concrete slab as a stable foundation. Support must be used under all frame joins
• Swing Clearance: Ensure adequate clearance space around the swings for safe swinging movement. Minimum 3m x 3m space recommended for side-by-side swinging
• Weather Protection: This play equipment is not cyclone-rated. Cover during extended periods of wet weather. Bring any removable pieces indoors before severe weather
• Natural Shade: Consider placement that offers natural shade or protection from harsh afternoon sun
